This is meant to be used with one of the Premium Tank Lift Kits for your Touring or Softail motorcycle.
This Deluxe Option lifts the rear of the tank AND, on the Touring Models, allows you to move the tank back up to 1/2".

Tank lift 0 people found this helpfulI installed the 1 1/2" tank lift with the deluxe option. After getting everything installed, I sat on the bike and decided to remove the deluxe option. The front of the seat was just too high and uncomfortable. Other than that it was an easy install and looks good. Very happy with the results.

Quality product and people 3 people found this helpfulLiving and riding in the south in the summer is really hot. I seen the DK tank lift, the Deluxe option and the deflector wings, the concept made sense to me and decided the try them. So on a routine trip from MS to OH, 25 July- 4 Aug ‘25, I stopped by the DK Custom shop outside Hickory Flats, MS. I was greater warmly by Shelby and was informed that they didnt often do retail at the production shop. Oops my bad. She said they could probably help me out. She got the ball rolling and while I was waiting she offered me a tour of the shop with introductions to all the employees. Which was awesome, from the ‘front office’ to the CNC cutting machine to the shipping office. Just incredible. They all couldn’t be nicer. When we finished up my order was ready as long with an ample SWAG bag. We settled up and I was in the wind. I installed the 1-1/2 inch tank lift with the Deluxe option and deflector wings once in OH for the return trip. The install was super easy if you know the difference between a box end and an open end, less that 30 mins for all the components. Returning to MS the ambient temps were in the mid 90’s and as long as I was moving 40-75 mph the highest head temp was 267 and oil temp 205. I saw a 12 degree temp reduction in the head temp. I was exceptionally pleased with the temp reduction and DK Customs has a return customer.. Thanks ‘08 Electra Glide, 113ci

DELUXE OPTION For PREMIUM TANK LIFT 2 people found this helpfulCan't speak to any cooling affect as I couldn't notice any difference since didn't have any way to measure temp drop. But I did notice that the helmet buffeting was diminished vs original tank location. Only complaint is that you can't buy the lift kit and the deluxe kit together as one kit. Forces you to have to choose both which was not very straight forward with the terminology. Deluxe seamed to imply you'll get both the front and rear components, which in reality is just the rear tank lift. Minor issue which could be fixed with option to purchase as a sigle unit...

Street glide fuel tank lift 1 people found this helpfulI put a 1.5 lift in the front and I reckon it’s a half inch in the back looks good now I can clean my top of my valve cover. No more head buffing they work very well. They keep my 135ci twin cam cool and I have to tell you they do work. They look good and they do work like they say very happy. I run them on my street light and my wife’s 2025 trike glide Ultra and I have both of them has the deflection wings and they work too very happy with all the products and they have some great T-shirts not hot. they are black, but they are cool Thank y’all very much. Love your products.

Tank lift kit & air wings 0 people found this helpfulI ordered the one inch tank lift kit, was easy to install, then decided I wanted the half inch to raise the back of the tank up also, I put the rear lift kit on and love the looks of my trike. It looks better and gives me more room to clean the motor. I’ve also ordered the cooling fins and put them on, really pulls a lot of the air flow off of me and puts it on the motor making my motor run cooler. Everything was easy to put on using the instructions.

Get that breather oil out of your intake. 1 people found this helpfulNice piece. Seems small, thats why I got it. I will run the lines up over the rockers, to minimize the amount of oil the can has to hold. I don't have it mounted and running yet. Time will be the judge, I think it will work perfectly. I hope to run it in behind the left side cover. My bike is carburated so I think I have plenty of space to have it under a cover and avoid any water infiltration. I will experiment a little at first to see how much I have to actually tend to it. Thanks DK.

Just wanted to create a little space below fuel tank. 0 people found this helpfulI have a 1998 road king. One piece tank and two bolts on front. Works beautifully, I did a one inch lift, and I used the rear lift aswell. I also believe if you have the thrue bolt mounting the front of your tank you could use this lift. You would just need a longer through bolt. I believe a guy could use this lift all the way back to my 1981 FLT. I couldn't have made my own brackets any where as nice as these, and I don't think it took half an hour to install. Imagine how long it would take to fabricate your own. Thanks DK.

Google stuff 0 people found this helpfulWith the rear lift it does move the tank back like they say. And I had little issue with the steel seat pan on my road king. I just had to bend the steel tab that slides into the frame and it fit in perfictly.

You know what they say one cannot be without the other 0 people found this helpfulThings work better in pairs and using these in addition to the front tank lift will give the bike a more aesthetically pleasing look plus it does serve a function of lifting the tank off of the engine allowing more space for heat to escape. Installation of these are very simple.

16SGS Rear Tank Lift with Deluxe Option 2 people found this helpfulI wanted to amend my original review. After I stated I had inner fairing contact between the plastic and the tank DK Custom Products stepped in with the answer. I loosened the inner fairing mount bolts and lifted up and forward on the fairing and barely got 1/8 inch movement. It was enough for me to get a full lock left and right h-bar turn with no contact of the inner plastic and the tank. I had removed the inner and outer fairing to install poly urethane h-bar bushings awhile back and the fairing probably dropped down on reinstall. Until you install a DK tank lift you would never know the difference. Thank you folks for a great product and outstanding customer service! A++

1/2" Rear Tank Lift 1 people found this helpfulI installed these spacers on my 16SGS and while it was a simple process, I'm not sure I will be keeping them on. I also lifted the front of my tank 1" and now in both a full lock left and right turn the outer portions of the plastic fairing strike the tank. I have the tank moved rearward as far as it will go in slots on the rear of the tank.

I am sorry to hear that.
Not very often, but now and then HD has mounted the fairing a little out of spec.
Look at the fairing at full lock, then picture it 1/4" to 1/2" higher. I think you will find at that point there will be no contact.
Sometimes it happens that the fairing is clamped in place a little bit off. Fortunately it is not difficult to remedy, simply a matter of slightly adjusting the fairing position on the forks.

Tank lift 0 people found this helpfulLooks great, I went with the 1 inch lift. Easy installation. I can tell more air is getting to the heads, thus keeping them cooler. Fuel Guage is still reading correctly. Plus didn't really change my center of gravity.

Good modification for your bike 0 people found this helpfulEasy, one hour job. Gets the tank up off the motor. Easier to clean but I did it for the thermal relief. No ride since the installation so no real data. ‘23.5 RG CVO and I have only coolant and oil dipstick temp gauges. The coolant is thermostatically controlled so won’t be much help and I have a cooler on the oil. I have shot a few temps with the thermometer gun but tough to do underway. May just have to rely on the old tried and true butt dyno or derrière temp sensor if you will. Tank is now just above the bottom of the fairing and lots of space for air to move in directly. No reason it shouldn’t work well. For some reason it won’t let me check the ‘I recommend’ box but I do. 1-1/2 inch, btw. Did the rear, too.

Excllent Product ane Service 1 people found this helpfulAs usual the item arrived here in France quickly. I chose the 1 1/5" tank lift, and for my 2022 FLRT Freewheeler that was the maximum possible without raising the handlebars. The finish on the black riser billet was excellent; and the fit perfect. I chose the de-luxe kit with the risers for the back of the tank as well. The overall rise in the tank is noticeable, and the air flow considerably improved, with the additional benefit of showing off the top of the engine. Another excellent DK Custom product. I also have the footboard extenders and the air filter catch can, both equally well designed as the tank lift kit. What great additions to my Harley. Thank you, DK Custom!

Could Not Be Better 8 people found this helpfulTo the Harley riders, male and female all- Greetings from a new member of the HD family. My wife and I are owners of 2023 Tri-Glide Ultra, I am working toward making it a cooler ride. This in mind, I purchased, and installed, the gas tank lift kit, premium model. I believe you all owe it to yourself to obtain at least the front lift kit for your ride. I know first hand that the lift helps. I do not have the deflectors, just the lift kit. My wife and I both notice a better air flow around the engine. That and damn it looks real good at least in my mind. I am retired and on a fixed income so I have to make real money smart investments in improvements on our bike. DK Custom is helping me do just that. My only suggestion is I have large hands, arthritis and all. I removed the tank to install the front lift. It was easier for me. God bless and ride, one of our only freedoms left.

Check my lift kit review for more info 0 people found this helpfulAfter the issues that I had with the tank lift installation, this was ridiculously easy. Those issues were 100% all me and had nothing to do with the lift kit. I put 1” inch on the front and 1/2” on the rear. Two bolts and 2 minutes later, the rear spacers were on. Absolutely satisfied, and I haven’t noticed any issues with my gas gauge. I recommend the deluxe kit to everyone.

better cooling, more accurate fuel reading 0 people found this helpfulAfter installing the 3" front tank lift, I noticed a change in fuel level and fuel indicator led me to believe I was on low fuel but was inaccurate. After adding the rear tank lift option, I now have good fuel tank readings, plus better cooling, and now the rear cylinder head exposed and looks nice..

The only thing I don't like is the fact that my after market 14" bars actually hit the tank, so I'm going to have live with that, if I go back to stock, it'll be fine, but I think so.

Great product 0 people found this helpfulShipping was fast!! I received my deluxe tank lift kit in just a few days. The product was made of very good materials. They even included a fuel cross over hose that I did not need for my bike. Who does that now days? Usually I get a product and start installing it only to find out I need another part you had to add to the order if you needed it. Not DK....they made sure I was ready when my product came in. I got this to help lower engine Temps (I have a 120R motor with a Trask turbo system) I did see about 5 to 7 degrees in temp drop but it also reduced a ton of buffering. That was an added bonus. I am going to order another one of these for my other street glide.

I am impressed with the products and together they appear to work as advertised. My trike seems to be running cooler and it has greatly reduced wind buffeting.

1.5 with Deluxe option 0 people found this helpfulInstalled 1.5-inch lift with Deluxe option on 2018 Road Glide Ultra with OEM handlebars. Looks great and nice having more room between the tanks and the heads. There was plenty of fork clearance and the back tank bolt holes give you about and an inch or. so of play forward or backward. No need to "custom" modify your back tank bolt holes to adjust for clearance. Also modified the stock rubber bolt covers and reinstalled them on the opposite side backward to protect cabling.

excellent idea and product 0 people found this helpfulinstallation was quick on my 2018 Road King Special; it lifts the back of the tank and also moves it back by 1/2" giving more clearance in the front. I can now feel a lot more air movement to the rear cylinder.

Cooling upgrade on FLHTK 0 people found this helpfulInstalled the 1 inch tank lift, deluxe option, and cooling wings. Rode Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. Bike ran much cooler especially in 100+ degree heat in the south west USA. I was already running an UltraCool unit and it definitely cycled less than I expected. I think this is a great combo, the DK Custom equipment keeping you cooled down on the road and the UltraCool helping in slow traffic or stop and go driving. Very happy with delivery and fit, finish of the DK equipment. I must also add that I had the best results with the lower fairings on the bike

I also installed the DK customs air wings at the same time. I rode with shorts on after I installed everything and it was a significant difference. A lot less heat. Great products and well made

Effective 1 people found this helpfulI ride in temperatures well over 100 degrees in the Arizona desert with my 2012 Road Glide. The custom motor is quite the beast at 113 ci and 130 hp / 127 tq. Things get cooking fast down here! With the tank riser kit, plus the rear deluxe lift kit, and the cooling wings, I'm easily seeing 10 degrees less, sometimes more, on really hot days. Even during questionable speeds on the highway in the heat, passing grandmothers, Corvettes, Mustangs and Kawasakis, the oil temp has never gone over 230. At regular cruising, it's more like 190. Ah, life is good.

Looks good but... 1 people found this helpfulPurchased this for my 2014 FLHTK. Loved the look, but I have an aftermarket Corbin seat. The spacers raise the seat slightly above the frame and create a squeak. Perhaps with a stock seat it does not do that.

I was able to adjust the front height of my tank to accommodate my after market bars. Get some blue loctite for the threads. Very fast shipping and well packaged. Love the way it looks and my engine runs cooler with the added airflow over the top. Definitely recommend.

Easily a must 1 people found this helpfulDefinitely one of the best accessories that I've put on my '10 Road King. The space created between the tank and the headers allows a significant reduction in buffeting and heat. Also, in my opinion, this cleans the lines of the bike and makes things not seem so crammed together. My one complaint would be that the delux option spacers both came with burrs where they were cut out in the manufacturing process. The lifts were perfect, though. Overall, a minor issue. I have been and will continue to brag about, plus recommend, this to others.

OK, but had to supplement! 0 people found this helpfulI added these to raise the rear of my tank enough to get my thighs a little closer together. I was used to a Sportster with the peanut tank and the new Tri Glide forces my legs uncomfortably apart. The supplied lift did not accomplish this, so I added an additional 3/4 in lift using large brass nuts. Worked a little better with the added lift.

Installed w/Tank Lift Kit 0 people found this helpfulFor a much cleaner look, I installed both the Deluxe Lift Kit Option and 1.5" Tank Lift Kits together. Lifting both front and rear of tank gives a more seemless look to the tanks profile, plus increases air flow across both big twins. The instructions were great and I was able to easily complete both front and back kit installs quickly by myself.

Great product 1 people found this helpfulExcellent quality, both fit and finish. Easy to install, a helper can be good but you can do it yourself with patience and care. Instructions clear and to the point. Definitely helps with access to the engine for cleaning, and also with airflow. Looks sharper too in my opinion with the tank off the heads.
